Luis Rey was born in Lima, Peru. He moved to New York in 1962 and graduated with honors from the Parsons School of Design in 1967. He has worked at McMillen Inc. since 1972, becoming the head of the Interior Architecture Department in the early 1980s and serving as McMillen's president from 2002 until 2012.
During the past forty years, Luis has designed houses, apartments, corporate offices, boats, and country clubs. He oversees projects and lends his expertise to the work of all McMillen designers. He believes in continuing the legacy created by Mrs. Brown -- professionalism and service. He emphatically believes in her commitment to addressing the needs of the client. As a designer he is particularly noted for his ability to create and re-configure interior spaces.
