McMillen - Mary Beth Donohue

Mary Beth Donohue

McMillen - Mary Beth Donohue Mary Beth Donohue graduated from Middlebury College and has a Master's degree in business. After moving to New York to pursue a career in banking, she decided to change careers and follow her interest in the decorative arts. Joining Sotheby's as an apprentice in 1989, she later became head of Sotheby's Appraisal Company. A student of the Isabel O'Neil studio, she is an accomplished decorative painter and has both sold and exhibited her work.

Mary Beth lives with her husband and two sons in a historic 1830s Greek revival house she renovated on the north shore of Long Island. She is an avid gardener who enjoys bringing the beauty of the natural world indoors. She loves working with clients to assess their needs and accomplish their goals. Recent projects include a Vermont farmhouse, a classic Park Avenue apartment and a modern house on Long Island. Following a long McMillen tradition of discretion and emphasis on interior architecture, Mary Beth has also worked in several New York clubs and lobbies.
