McMillen, Inc. / About Us - Amanda Dreyer Ruane

Amanda Dreyer Ruane was born in New York City and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a BA in French from the University of Virginia, and an Associate Degree from the New York School of Interior Design. Amanda joined McMillen, Inc. in 2001.

Amanda appreciates interiors that are subtle and refined. She is inspired by nature, music, art, textiles, and buildings, as well as by a border or a trim. She is moved both by the simplicity of a Shaker room and by the rich complexity of a grand interior. Amanda works to combine beauty with function, and believes that details make all the difference.
